Job Description
The Manager of Business Systems leads in the planning, coordination, implementation and oversight of software platform applications, leading or supervising projects and initiatives to enhance business operations and overall company performance. Position reports into CO; can sit anywhere and work remote.
  • Implements and maintains information systems software programs for the organization by analyzing current and future system needs, participating in selection of new software modules and leading in the design, configuration, testing, roll-out and troubleshooting systems as necessary.
  • Evaluates, recommends and develops business process improvements and enhancements, including developing detailed workflow diagrams, charts, and project plans from concept through implementation.
  • Leads and/or participates in the gathering of detailed needs assessments for proposing systems and/or business solutions by communicating with senior business leaders, team members, and others, and researching technology and systems options that align with the company’s technology and systems needs and strategies.
  • Oversees Level Two Management Software support for software databases, as assigned. Ensures team is following established service standards, response procedures and workflows, analyzing issues and problems related to software systems and programs, and determining and implementing appropriate solutions, training, or maintenance as necessary.
  • Supervises a team of Business System Analysts by interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training employees, and manages their performance in accordance with Company policies, values and business practices.
  • Coordinates and assists in supervising system upgrades, conversion and installations by evaluating and recommending upgrades based on business needs and requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with systems development methodology standards and procedures.


Education

College degree in information systems, business systems, business or related field and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and communicate effectively to create and make presentations to team members, internal and external clients, business contacts, vendors and senior managers, and to design and teach information systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Company’s computer programming platforms, operating systems, work processing, spreadsheet, and Power Point presentation programs in order to maintain, enhance and troubleshoot as needed, including completion of reports, evaluation of applications and systems and production of necessary communication materials.
  • Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of an information systems or computer background sufficient to maintain and troubleshoot software systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in real estate or property management preferred, or ability to learn business processes quickly.
