Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSParticipate in annual budgeting process for utility program GL accounts and provide mid-year re-forecasts as necessary.
Distribute monthly and quarterly variance analysis for relevant GL accounts.
Keep track of program, regulatory, and rate trends that could influence financial outcomes.
Collaborate with contracted billing and utility providers to leverage available data.
Support ancillary team with analysis of new and existing revenue maximization strategies.
Ad Hoc Reporting and financial support as needed.
Review and analyze utility billing reports for accuracy and identify opportunities to improve billing metrics.
Ensure proper reimbursement levels thru allocation audits and account setup verification.
Assist with documentation and maintenance of utility billing processes and procedures including disposition, acquisition and new construction properties.
Analyze financial impacts from changes in billing or service levels.
Special projects as it relates to the utility program.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
Experience: 2 years of direct real estate or utility billing experience preferred
Strong analytical and Excel skills required (i.e. If, Vlookups, Hlookups, Index/Match, Concatenate, Pivot Table/Chart, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills
A self-starter with eagerness to learn
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required
Dedicated team player who is flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Position requires ability to work standard hours and business days, 52 weeks of the year.  Individuals must possess the ability to work the necessary days/hours to complete the essential functions of the position.  Must also attend training as required.  Work schedule subject to change. A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required.
