LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

San Francisco, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW

Deliver a hands-on approach to the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all building issues at our multi-use Class A 10-story high-rise property in San Francisco. Provide an exceptional customer experience to all our commercial and residential tenants while addressing any issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate well and work closely with vendors, contractors, and the management team to ensure the needs of the tenants and buildings are satisfactorily met
  • Regularly inspect all areas of the building(s) and report deficiencies to the Property Manager
  • Create a preventative plan for the building
  • Oversee and inspect the work of contractors, vendors, and trade workers
  • Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues
  • Review and coordinate work assignments
  • Plan work to be performed and obtain necessary tools, equipment and materials for work order completion
  • Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems
  • Complete assignments and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Possess knowledge and able to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
  • Demonstrate exemplary tenant relations
  • Administer necessary inventory control programs to ensure adequate spare parts and material inventories
  • Assess property and make maintenance recommendations that will contribute to a more effective and efficient property operations

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Must possess basic mathematical skills; add, subtract, divide, and multiply and have the ability to compute rate, discounts, interest, and commissions. Must be able to prepare and analyze data figures and transcriptions generated by a computer
  • Proficient in using Computer applications such Windows, MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Yardi, and the Internet and maintain a high level of computer and digital electronic skills and be able to operate building systems.
  • Must be able to prepare written reports, complete log sheets, and read, interpret and work from plans, drawings and specifications with ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to speak, communicate, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace including, but not limited to, English in order to maintain safety in the workplace and serve internal and external customers.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Able to work independently and with a team
