We are currently searching for a Marketing Associate to join our Marketing team. This person will be based at our corporate headquarters office in Arlington, VA.

The Role

The Marketing Associate will be responsible for supporting the marketing efforts of all renovation and acquisition/disposition communities serving as primary liaison to the Redevelopment and Asset Management Team. Specifically, this position will partner with each project team to appropriately position the asset and communicate its unique value proposition across all customer touchpoints.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Identify the unique features of the newly renovated properties and create a plan to properly position it amongst competitors
  • Create materials to properly represent and communicate new aspects of the renovated property, including sales collateral, material boards, and image displays for property office.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of all property photoshoots, including traditional photoshoots but also virtual tours and virtual staging of vacant units.
  • Assess tour path opportunities and provide recommendations for enhanced visibility, both temporary during renovation and permanent needs. Partner with third party vendors to produce and install new signage.
  • Partner with Digital Team to evaluate advertising exposure and ensure property has the proper amount of visibility to meet traffic goals.
  • Maintain content hygiene across all marketing channels to ensure the most current information and imagery is reflected on all customer touch points including property website and advertising channels (ie – updated features, images etc).
  • Oversee transition of all acquisition and disposition properties on behalf of Marketing Department, onboarding all newly acquired properties and ramping down marketing support to properties being sold.
  • Serve as team liaison to select third party vendors, including virtual tour and staging vendors.
  • Provide support, as assigned to Marketing Managers for new communities and spearhead miscellaneous assignments as assigned by Director of Marketing.

You Have...

The perfect candidate will be proactive, detailed-oriented, and deliver a high level of customer service. A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or business and 2-3 years in a marketing role is required. Additional preference will be given to anyone with experience as a leasing associate at AvalonBay or another multifamily housing company. Candidates must be proficient with MS Office and possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, as this role will interact directly with both internal clients and third party vendors.
