About the HR Team

The HR & Benefits group at ConAm has a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture.  Our mission is to build an HR organization that delivers the tools, services and support our internal clients need to do the best work of their careers!

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join us in that mission.  In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and administration of our compensation, benefits and performance management initiatives. 

 

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assisting with the development and execution of our compensation strategy
  • Providing subject matter expertise to managers on:
    • Salary adjustments for internal/external hiring salaries
    • Recommended resolutions to compensation issues
    • Federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations
    • Reward program design
  • Driving the performance management and compensation review processes
  • Assisting in the development, deployment and management of “career ladder” processes and programs for corporate and regional associates
  • Assisting in the strategic management of the 401K program and other benefits programs as required
  • Ensuring all job descriptions are up to date, accurate, graded, bench marked and updated in the HCM

 

Basic Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in compensation and/or benefits
  • Experience in the residential property management or hospitality industry a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various other MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations.

Demonstrated Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail and a strategic mindset
  • Experience with job analysis and job evaluation principles, methods, and procedures
  • Knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with HCM systems and web-based compensation benchmarking tools
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports
  • Skill in analyzing and evaluating job content and writing accurate job descriptions
