We are seeking an individual to assist our Learning & Development team at our headquarters office in Arlington, Virginia part-time (20-30 hours per week) for a 2-3 month project. This is an ideal opportunity for a local D.C. Metro Area student or professional looking for a short-term project and who can initially work in our Arlington office.

Reporting to our Senior Director of Learning and Development, this person will be instrumental in reviewing and curating resources aligned with AvalonBay’s leadership behaviors (e.g., grow and adapt, build strong relationships, communicate effectively, act strategically) for our leadership development web-site. This will include locating and reviewing resources on multiple platforms; web-sites, articles, blogs, videos, and online learning. Project will also include assessing and recommending selection of online vendor offerings such as LinkedIn Learning or Harvard ManageMentor.

Qualified candidates will be dependable, organized and have good project management skills. Additionally, the candidate will have prior work experience in a corporate environment and a degree in Human Resources, or Business Administration with emphasis on organization development or leadership. Preferred candidates will have work experience and have or be pursuing an advanced degree in Leadership, Training, Coaching, Organization Development or related field.
