Gen. Maintenance Construction - Painter

Oceanside Community Association is a senior independent living community.  

The General Construction & Paint Maintenance Team member will work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and the General Manager. The scope of duties for general construction and painter is as follows:

Position Tasks and Responsibilities:

General

• Skilled in the maintenance and repair, of exterior homes, carports and garages.
• Experienced in framing, general construction, concrete and stucco.
• Proficient at measuring and accurately cutting.
• Outstanding Painting skills
•  Experienced in all aspects of painting; taping, edging and spray equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Respond to work requests as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. 
• Once work order as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor have been completed, add notes to the database, record hours and close out work request.
• Provide Maintenance Supervisor with a list of supplies and/or tools that need to be ordered.
• At the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor purchase and pick-up supplies when needed.
• Attend safety meetings, contribute to a safe work environment.
• Responsible for appropriate use, cleaning and storage of tools and equipment provided.
• Participate in an OCA Maintenance training program
• Special projects and tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager

• Basic computer skills in order to learn and use AppFolio database, Microsoft Outlook  

Desirable Education and Experience:

• High school diploma
• Trade school or some college courses
