Human Resources Assistant
Responsibilities
Job Objectives: The HR Assistant provides general administrative support to the HR Department.Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Supervises: None
Job Status: non-exempt, full-time (work schedule subject to change). Eligible for overtime.
Department: Human Resources
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Administrative Assistant
Maintain employee files including filing, auditing, sending and retrieving from storage as needed
Process Referral Bonuses per company policy
Prepare department invoices and executive expense reports
Receives and distributes department mail
Receives and forwards department faxes
Orders office supplies for the department as needed
Coordinate department celebrations such as birthdays, work anniversaries, and the like
Human Resources/Associate Relations Support
Compiles employee file documents for legal matters
Maintain Associate Relations log and related documents
Process employment verification
Process unemployment claims and hearing notices
Supports HR Specialist and HR Coordinator as needed
Other duties as assigned.

Prepare and mail Service Awards certificates
Excellence Award data entry
Occasional data research and mailing projects
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience: 1-2 years of administrative experience with some financial/payroll and HR experience ideal but not required
Skills: Candidate must excel in the following areas:
Customer Service
Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects to timely completion
Documentation Management and maintaining files
Ability to communicate well both written and verbal
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
• Job is intermittently sedentary, but requires mobility (i.e. climb stairs)
• Will use some repetitive motion of hands/wrists using a computer and telephone
