Job Description
The Insurance Coordinator assists the Managing Director/Director of the Risk Management Department in the day-to-day administration of the insurance program and perform various tasks to provide administrative and clerical support to department(s) and/or manager(s).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in insurance, business, or related field and/or equivalent experience is highly preferred.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in insurance, business, or related field and/or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate professionally to prepare both verbal and written communication materials.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Office. Ability to learn claim database management systems.
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical functions necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages in order to complete financial records, budgets, and other reporting information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills including ability to multi-task, set and meet goals and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve problems and make quick and effective decisions.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others.
- Employment history that demonstrates the working knowledge of the principals surrounding commercial property and casualty insurance, and the application and usage of administrative, secretarial, or office support skills.
- Insurance industry or claims experience of 1-3 years, preferably in multiple lines of coverage such as general liability, auto liability, workers’ compensation, and property.
