Service Manager
Castro Valley, CA
Our company is looking for a strong Service Manager to lead the maintenance at a 188 unit community centrally located in the East Bay. Among the Service Managers responsibilities are:
- Timely scheduling of preventative maintenance, unit turns and service requests
- Maintain inventories and order parts and supplies as necessary,
- Oversee vendors, contractors and other service employees to ensure the condition and integrity of the property,
- Prepare units for new occupancy by performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks
- Ability to make repairs to buildings, appliances and fixtures, change locks, unstop clogged drains, repair or replace plumbing fixtures, patch holes in walls, perform minor masonry repairs
- Pool & Spa Maintenance
- Complete other work as required to ensure the marketability and overall maintenance of the property
After hours/weekend on-call responsibilities are required
The right candidate will be/have:
- Three or more years multi-family housing maintenance experience.
- The ability to communicate (speak, read and write) in English in order to maintain safety in the workplace and serve internal and external customers
- Highly proactive, taking initiative and ownership of projects
- Attentive to the needs of residents, responding quickly and competently to resident requests
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to provide own basic tools
- PC knowledgeable in Windows environment, with a working knowledge of e-mail, and Web-enabled applications
