Job Description
The Claim Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and claim support functions within the risk management team. Responsibilities include coordination and administration of day-to-day as well as project administration of the insurance, claims & safety programs.
Education
College degree in insurance, business, or related field, and/or equivalent experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain data to team members.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Office and ability to learn claim database management systems.
- Intermediate mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages in order to complete report information.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others including professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills including ability to multi-task, set and meet goals and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve problems and make quick and effective decisions.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and creativity in a variety of situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must have thorough knowledge of each line of insurance coverage and insurance industry or claims experience of 1- 3 years, preferably in multiple lines of coverage such as general liability, auto liability, worker’s compensation and property.
