Renovation Technician
Kapolei, HI
This position oversees the daily food production of the Agora: prep and meal operations; administrative duties; supervise and train employees. Work with management to coordinate special events and menu planning.
Works closely with production manager in all supervisory roles and in menu planning. Understands all menus and features and is able to relay that information to other employees and servers.
Supervises kitchen: ensures food production and cooked food results in highest quality for hot and cold foods being served, directs and instructs staff on safe and sanitary food preparation and cooking procedures.
Participates directly with all aspects of food production and fills positions whenever necessary.
Oversees food presentation and garnishes.
Interacts with residents, guests, and staff in a positive and friendly manner.
Understands, follows, enforces and monitors safety and sanitary practices.
Assists with all closing procedures, supervising cleaning and other duties from the closing checklist.
Manages team members by interviewing, hiring, orienting, training and mentoring employees, and managing their performance in accordance with Company policies, values, and business practices. Maintains adequate staffing and pipeline of candidates to provide optimum service levels.
Education
Degree in hospitality or food service management and/or equivalent employment history that demonstrates experience in the food service industry, preferably a university food service setting.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete legal documents, and answer questions about the kitchen’s operation.
Demonstrated proficiency in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to complete required reports and employment documents.
Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percent’s in order to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information
.
Demonstrated management and supervisory skills sufficient to hire, lead, direct, evaluate, and manage subordinate and team members.
Incumbents must have all certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
