Campus Recruiting Associate
Charleston, SC
Work with the Director of Recruiting Programs to support the company’s goals for building and maintaining a pipeline of top talent through on-campus recruiting strategies and programming. Provide support in building relationships with key target universities, as well as coordinating on-campus interviews, events, and programs. Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruiting efforts for the Greystar Internship Program and Greystar College Grad Program. Support MBA internship and full-time recruiting efforts.
Assist in expanding a best-in-class campus and college recruiting strategy that builds a pipeline of top talent of future leaders for the Company and establishes Greystar as a preferred employer at targeted universities with degree programs in Greystar-relevant academic areas.
Help to maintain and build relationships with key contacts, department heads, career center leaders at key target schools.
Works with Director to secure participation from key business leaders and alumni of key target schools to actively participate in on-campus interviews, career fairs, and related events.
Supports the execution of the Company’s annual campus recruiting strategy by helping to organize, schedule, and coordinate Greystar’s attendance and participation at these events.
Works with Director to implement systems, processes, and tools for keeping track of student candidates and managing applicant flow; schedules final interviews for potential candidates, and coordinates with business leaders on selection decisions and employment offers.
Uses the Company’s recruiting and hiring systems and processes to ensure compliance with hiring, pre-employment screening, and onboarding procedures and policies, and to ensure compliance with EEOC and other legal and regulatory requirements related to staffing and recruiting.
Engages with Team Member Development and other internal resources to support the Internship Program, College Grad Program, and annual Intern and New Hire Orientations; and supports new college hires’ successful integration and career launch.
Stays actively engaged in and provides ongoing oversight of pipeline of intern-to-full-time hires, as well as new college hires, conducting routine follow-up communications with candidates.
Provides additional recruiting support outside of campus recruiting as needed, as it pertains to US Investment Management and HQ, including sourcing candidates, working with hiring managers to schedule interviews, and issuing offer letters.
Education
College degree in business or human resources is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise communications and materials, as well as objective reports, summaries, analyses, and other business documents to team members in various positions and levels.
Good working knowledge of and hands-on experience in staffing and recruiting practices and techniques, with preferred experience in on-campus recruiting programs, as well as a good understanding of trends related to the workforce.
Proficiency in using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience using social media and various electronic job boards and recruiting websites, such as LinkedIn, Select Leaders, Handshake, and other career-focused websites.
Ability to maintain effective relationships and support partnerships with various university personnel, as well as key business leaders to gain support and consensus on proposed recommendations, policies, and procedures. Very comfortable making oral presentations, as well as speaking extemporaneously.
Ability to connect with students and team members of diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and interests.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple priorities at the same time.
3-5 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, and/or position.
