Payroll Analyst

Job Description
This position is responsible for performing analytical duties, auditing accounts, payroll tax reconciliation, facilitating various payroll wage verifications, creating and/or maintaining current process documentation, as well as ensuring adherence to all applicable local, state and federal regulations and contract requirements.

Education

College degree in business, human resources administration, or related field, and/or equivalent union experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to create and make presentations to team members, executive and senior managers, and others, and to develop recruiting brochures, offer letters, and other collateral materials.
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, and database management programs in order to complete required reports and produce necessary training materials.
Demonstrated advanced level expertise in spreadsheet development, manipulation, analysis, etc.
Demonstrated project management skills in order to develop and execute a project plan from conception through implementation and evaluation.
Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communication to establish and build strategic partnerships and business relationships, and effectively interact with executives and senior-level management groups.
Employment history that demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary for development and administration sufficient to design processes, practices, policies, and procedures.
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Familiarity with federal and state payroll tax regulations required.
