Software Specialist, YARDI

This position is for a full time Software Support Specialist - Yardi, to work in our corporate office in San Rafael, CA.  Qualified candidates will provide Yardi support for each of the EAH Properties and serve as the help desk for Yardi software issues.  Must be able to work closely with the Compliance department on Yardi compliance issues. Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations relevant to affordable housing development, Housing Tax Credit and HUD/50059 programs highly desirable.  Pay is commensurate with experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Monitors for regulatory and company policy compliance and provides Yardi support for each of the EAH properties, and serves as a help desk for Yardi software issues. Utilizes knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations relevant to affordable multi-family housing development, Housing Tax Credits and HUD programs to evaluate projects and provide assistance. Utilizes knowledge of Yardi to ensure property managers are utilizing the system correctly and that their training needs and accounting requirements are met. Keeps abreast of changes to housing regulations and software updates. Requires occasional on-site visits. Understands and supports EAH’s mission and core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides Yardi technical assistance to site staff.
• Assists and troubleshoots with site staff and/or Accounting department members to do Affordable Rent Roll, GRP and other reconciliations.
• Conducts one-on-one software and Yardi training for site managers and their administrative staff.
• Recommends software changes to coincide with Yardi-related updates.
• Monitors Yardi compliance-related tracking reports such as PSR, NAUR, UVR and ELI.
• Monitors Yardi for accounting-related tracking reports including GRP, Rent Roll and Delinquency Report.
• Actively participates in EAH’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma and some formal training/certification in computer-related field. Two years’ experience in property management or housing regulatory agency. At least 1 year experience with day-to-day operations and compliance requirements of an Affordable housing property site. Knowledge of Yardi Voyager or other property management software. COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) and/or TCS (Tax Credit Specialist) certifications preferred. Accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
