We are currently searching for an Internal/Staff Auditor to be based at our Arlington, VA Corporate Headquarters.

The Role

Under the direction and supervision of Internal Audit Management, the Staff Auditor will:

  • Executing the annual Sarbanes-Oxley compliance plan, and assisting with related documentation, reviews and procedures
  • Effectively evaluating and improving financial and operational internal controls
  • Executing risk based audit programs
  • Documenting and evaluating financial, operational and compliance based policies & procedures
  • Compiling pre-audit preparation research, procedures, and analysis.
  • Performing of special reviews, cost recovery activities, ad hoc projects and similar tasks
  • Identifying, resolving & documenting financial, operational, compliance, and risk based issues and problems
  • Performing other related duties and tasks as circumstances and situations require

You Have...

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Business, Information Systems, etc. and 0 - 2 years of related work experience. Position does require up to 30% travel. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent college graduate with prior internship/work experience within a business related field (e.g., accounting, auditing, finance, etc.).

Candidates must also possess the skills & abilities to:

  • Effectively take direction & support the Internal Audit team within the culture, environment, protocols, and needs of the organization & department
  • Conduct all duties, tasks and functions with proficiency, due professional care and high ethical standards
  • Critically think, problem solve, and contribute to the continuous improvement and evolvement of the IA team.
  • Demonstrate effective time management, administration, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective listening, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Assist the department to successfully meet the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of the annual audit plan and ad hoc projects as they arise throughout the year.
