Position Summary:
The Resident Services Coordinator manages customer support to residents by providing assistance with service requests, accounting and rental issues, and coordinating other miscellaneous resident related functions to achieve community goals surrounding resident retention. This is accomplished by:
- Preparing and delivering resident communications such as lease notices, newsletters, surveys, and other communications to the residents.
- Ensuring resident complaints and/or concerns are resolved in a timely manner, and by answering questions concerning rent and fee payments.
- Submitting work orders for all service requests and completes call-backs within 24 hours to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assisting in the collection of rent and other fees and ensures timely distribution of all legal notices and communications to residents.
- Answering phones, responding to email inquiries and faxes, checking the answering service throughout the day for messages, and returning calls as necessary.
- Completing various accounting, financial, administrative, and other reports and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with superior hands-on customer service experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete legal documents, sell and explain apartment features, create resident communications documents.
- Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and coordinating large functions and gatherings.
- Excellent customer service skills to be able to interact effectively with a diverse group of people, stay calm under pressure, provide cheerful assistance to others, and build positive resident relationships.
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, property management applications (preferably Yardi and/or One Site), and database management programs in order to complete required reports, documents, and for use in creating flyers, and newsletters as needed.
