Leasing Consultant

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales abilities in the property management industry, has excellent leasing skills with good record of closing deals, knows Yardi, Pop Card, and knows how to post Ads on craigslist and other online marketing websites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Acts as sales representative for the community;
• Greets all residents and future residents in a professional and consistent positive manner;
• Prepares and completes lease forms/agreements and collects rental deposit;
• Maintains a consistent level of sales closing as determined by the supervisor;
• Ensure that 'model' and target apartments are ready to show; responsible for maintaining work areas and office in clean and orderly at all times; develops awareness of the 'curb appeal' of the property;
• Completes guest cards, sends thank you notes and follows up on every qualified prospect;
• Develops and maintains an on-going resident retention program under the direction of the Property Manager;
• Maintains all resident and property files;
• Processes and submits all required administrative forms, reports and related information;
• Handles resident requests and complaints;
• Schedules timely appointments for future residents or prospects to visit the community;
• Inputs resident information into Yardi;
• Conducts market surveys if and when necessary;
• Performs other tasks as may be required by the position and/or directed by the Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2-3 years practical experience in sales or customer relations
• Must speak and write English to effectively communicate with on-site staff, residents and prospective residents
• Fair housing training preferred or will train
• Excellent organizational and filing skills required
• General computer skills required
