Resident Manager I

Join our team at EAH Housing where we are one of the largest and most respected nonprofit housing development and management organizations in California!  We are looking for the right candidate to become the Resident Manager at Art Ark Apartments in San Jose.  Art Ark Apartments are located in San Jose's version of SoHo - an old industrial neighborhood where artists are living/working in old warehouses, and families have rehabilitated older Victorian homes. The Art Ark is made up of 148 affordable rental artist units (134 SRO apartments and 14 single family apartments) in two distinct neighborhoods: the Factory and the Cottages. A performance plaza joins these two neighborhoods. Over 30% of the residents consider themselves to be artists. Starting pay is up to $25.48/hour. 

Successful candidates will have:

• A positive attitude with a professional demeanor and commitment to the success of the team.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, self-directed, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office products and experience with property management software.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in an affordable HUD housing property management.
• Ability to obtain real estate license within 6 months from hire date (class to be paid for by EAH)
• Ability to collects rent, makes bank deposits, prepare and submits rent roll, preform certifications accurately and timely
• Comply with HUD, TCAC, ADA and fair housing regulations
• Experience in maintaining a waiting list and maximizing occupancy
