Overnight Security/ Guest Services Position Available

Located in the heart of downtown, SOMA district – SOMA Residences is seeking a Security/ Guest Services Associate to join our team.  This role requires the ability to work weekends and overnight hours.  Expected full time (40 hour per week) schedule:

Full Time 12:30am – 9am ; includes Sat and Sun, Wed and Thur are off days

Basic responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Screens visitors in an efficient manner in order to verify necessary admittance to the site or facility and reports incidents or suspicious activity
• Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and courtesy manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and potential residents by providing a courteous, respectful and pleasant interaction with each client, employee and visitor
• Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry
• Maintains and updates packages/grocery logs when receiving packages and releasing them to residents.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides director of information to authorized individuals.
• Educate and inform residents of resident rules, policies, procedures, and resident response program.
• Participate in resident events to build community and customer relationships.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 1 year security experience or equivalent customer service experience. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication including ability to make sound judgements without supervision.

• Knowledge of state and federal laws: e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc. a plus.
• Flexibility in work days and work schedule
• Ability to read, write and speak English
