Great Opportunity with a Fast Growing Company for Experienced On-site Professional Apartment Manager

Position available is for well-maintained property (total 64 units) centrally located in San Rafael, CA

Seeking an experienced, full-time professional for an on-site apartment management position with strong leasing / marketing skills, knowledge of maintenance, project management and turning of apartments. Property management experience is required.

The ideal person will interact regularly with our lovely tenant base, and work on maintaining the high standard of living that has been established at this property, on a daily basis. Activities range from handling all desk aspects of property management to performing light maintenance.While this is a full time position, we provide an additional strong internal support system that builds positive and satisfying work relationships.

Salary, plus 1 or 2 bedroom apartment with storage. Separate leasing office, plus maintenance workroom and tool room provided.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS REQUIRED:

Strong leasing skills; be available to show vacant apartments after hours and weekends as needed. Ability to close is essential!

Strong advertising and updated marketing skills required.

Knowledge of computer systems (e-mail; Word; Excel; Yardi/basic accounting software; internet advertising/ Craig's List).

Knowledge of Fair Housing and CA Landlord/Tenant law.

Collecting & posting rents, following through on rent collections, serving 3 day notices and evictions.

Knowledge of time management skills with attention to details and strong hands on approach. The ability to multi-task with scheduling maintenance, turning of apartments, coordinating vendors and handling assorted tenant related issues is essential.

Knowledge of maintaining a clean and well-manicured property.

Handle lock-outs, noise complaints and address after hour emergencies.

MAINTENANCE SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to diagnose most apartment maintenance issues.

Knowledge of maintaining a clean and well-manicured property.

Knowledge of basic plumbing.

Ability to diagnose minor electrical issues & familiar with electrical panels (tripped circuit breakers).

Basic working knowledge of building & property systems (HVAC, roofs, appliances etc).

Basic landscaping knowledge.

Ability to perform light janitorial & grounds cleaning as needed.
