Community Manager - Affordable

TerraCorp Financial has an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as the Community Manager of our 77 unit, mid-rise, affordable housing community for seniors located in Oakland, CA. This position requires at least two years of direct experience working as a HUD or Tax Credit manager.

Position Summary:

The Community Manager position requires general knowledge of all property management duties and operations. The position's primary objective is to organize and manage the efficient daily operations of the community. This will be accomplished by providing outstanding customer service, enforcing policies and procedures, and adhering to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws at all times. As the Community Manager you will be responsible for supervision of other property staff and vendors, maintaining excellent curb appeal, providing well-timed and proactive property maintenance, safeguarding the good financial health and stability of the property, maintaining compliance with all government and property program requirements, and the completion of all required paperwork and reports on time.

  • Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner, with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Possess a professional demeanor dedicated to team work and exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required; Associate’s or higher degree preferred.
  • Two (2) plus years of property management experience; HUD and/or LIHTC/Affordable housing knowledge preferred.
  • Computer Skills – Proficient in MS Office; OneSite or Yardi experience is a plus.
  • A valid California Driver’s License.
