Community Manager

Mountain View, CA

We are in search of a Community Manager who would be responsible for managing the daily operations of our Monte Vista Terrace property. This property has complex compliance, funding and operational requirements with emphasis on strong fiscal performance, compliance, maintenance of the physical structure and building and strong team work. Key areas of responsibility are: Fiscal Management, Compliance, Facilities Management, Risk Management, Tenant Management, Employee Management, Community Outreach, Internal and External Partnering Job Description:
  • Supervise one or more Assistant Community managers and Maintenance Groundskeeper staff
  • Verify resident income, collect rent, security deposits and make bank deposits
  • Assist Property Manager with annual and monthly budget and monitor fiscal status accordingly
  • Process re-certifications on time and maintain accuracy of files (annual and interim)
  • Assist in the completion of the annual Welfare Exemption documents
  • Assist with completion of MOR/TCAC reviews
  • Process evictions in compliance with regulatory guidelines and court orders
  • Review all rental applications and leases for accuracy and completeness
  • Obtain required documentation and complete certification process Performs other assignments as requested.
    Qualifications
  • Tax Credit Specialist and Certified Occupancy Specialist certified
  • Must have two to three years of supervisory experience
  • Possess three or more years of multi-family residential management experience; must have at least three years of affordable housing experience including properties with multiple regulatory agency compliance requirements
  • Associate degree, certificate of completion from a trade school or two or more years of related experience or training
  • Current knowledge of Fair Housing laws; required to pass FHA test within first 60 days of employment
  • Demonstrate competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and in Boston Post
  • Knowledge of basic accounting skills and ability to interpret financial reports
  • Ability to prepare and present effective communication and correspondence to peers and upper level management
  • Ability to analyze complex situations while making sound decisions and balance competing priorities under a deadline
  • Take proactive measures to prevent problems from occurring or re-emerging
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Possess a valid California Driver's License, auto insurance
