Property Manager

San Luis Obispo, CA

This position requires that you live on-site. Compensation includes an apartment. This is a full time live-in position for the supervision and management of the property, and requires the ability to make appointments to meet prospective renters and or tenants throughout the day and/or evening & deal with emergencies. Must be proficient in Accounting, Tenant Ledgers and Bank deposits. This position also requires that you supervise the maintenance of the property. You would report directly to the off-site management on a regular basis. Duties include: • Greet prospective residents and provide information on apartment inquiries • Be available to show vacant units and tour the property • Rent apartments and qualify all applicants • Collect rent accurately and process deposits • Complete leasing/administrative paperwork • Handle tenant requests, issues and complaints • Issue late rent payment notices; 3 day and 30 day notices • Inspect the property daily • Process work orders and follow-up with maintenance • Schedule and oversee maintenance in vacant apartments • Assess and act accordingly in emergency situations • Enforce rules and regulations of community • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years Property Management experience. Applicants must be very organized, have excellent communication skills, and be detail oriented. Knowledge of Window based computer programs and Internet use is required. Previous apartment management experience is highly desired. Knowledge of current property rental laws is very helpful.
A background check and credit check will be run.

Education
High School diploma.
