Apartment / Property Manager

We are in need of a strong Community Manager for our 118 unit apartment community in Oakland’s revitalized Fruitvale district. The Community Manager is to utilize all resources to ensure smooth and efficient property performance, oversee all operations and control expenses to meet budget expectations. In addition, the Community Manager also assists in the supervision of maintenance operations to ensure that internal and external property areas meet company safety and physical appearance standards. Constant monitoring and analysis of market conditions is also required to maximize property revenues.
Compensation package includes a lovely onsite apartment plus salary, depending on experience. Total package, including housing, is valued at $50,000 +, plus medical/health benefits, 401k with employer match, paid vacation and tuition reimbursement. Community managers are also eligible for performance bonuses based on the property’s financial performance.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate would have at least two years of asset or property management experience and have strong organizational, communication and leasing skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must, with Yardi or other property management experience preferred. Additional qualifications include the ability to multi-task, strong problem solving skills, an optimistic attitude, and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. The Community Manager must live onsite. Spanish fluency is a big plus.
