Bi-Lingual Community Services Manager

Burbank Housing, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to providing affordable housing in Sonoma and surrounding Counties, has an opening for a full-time Spanish/English Bi-Lingual Community Services Manager to join an established team. Under the direction of the Director of Property Management, the Community Services Manager has primary responsibility to ensure that residents are receiving services as required by various funding or regulatory agreements entered into by Burbank Housing. These responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying required services; assessing community needs; documenting lack of interest or participation in required programs and evaluating alternative programs requested by residents of the community; developing property specific community service plans of action; and coordinating implementation of supportive service programs with other community resources. A large component of our tenant population and organized volunteers are Spanish speaking, and an effective Community Services Manager must possess both verbal and written fluency in the Spanish language. Language skills will be verified. The Community Services Manager is not responsible for directly providing services or for direct case management. The Community Services Manager identifies and secures services from third party providers. Compensation: This position is a full-time, exempt management position. A full time commitment (minimum 40 hours per week) is required. The starting salary ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 annually depending upon the skills and experience of the candidate. Qualifications
    Established Skills:
  • Commitment & enthusiasm towards achieving Burbank Housing's Mission and Vision Statement.
  • Ability to assess community needs and identify resources to benefit underprivileged population.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with youth, seniors and persons of diverse backgrounds in both English and Spanish.
  • Must effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and/or individuals.
  • Spanish/English bi-lingual skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to compose effective business correspondence and prepare and submit accurate reports.
  • Requires the ability to research resources and prepare, maintain and distribute information and referral materials.
  • Requires competency in standard business software and Internet research.
Education
Education and/or Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in coordination and delivery of support services or the equivalent. An undergraduate degree in social work, public health, counseling or related field required. Experience in program development is preferred. A combination of education, training and work experience may be accepted to meet experience requirements.
