Area Leasing Consultant

The Area Leasing Consultant role is a seasoned sales professional/specialist with demonstrated success in securing leases and providing sales leadership to the leasing staff. This position is the face of Equity Residential's brand. The Area Leasing Consultant is required to work at a number of communities based on the needs of the portfolio. The Area Leasing Consultant will utilize proven/advanced skills and knowledge level to readily adapt to various demands, size, condition, policies, marketing efforts, and renewal and retention programs of multiple communities. This position requires a high degree of independence, accountability and ability to work with varying levels of supervision.
Essential functions: The percent of time spent in the following essential functions will vary based on the needs of the portfolio and communities supported by this role. -Direct Sales & Marketing -Sales Leadership -Resident Relations/Customer Service -Building, Community, and Industry Knowledge. A successful Area Leasing Consultant must demonstrate strong sales and customer service, organizational, multitasking and communication skills. Basic computer skills and attention to detail also required. Leasing experience strongly preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree or some college coursework desirable. Weekends required.
