Position Summary The Service Manager is responsible for responding to maintenance requests as instructed by the property staff, or as requested by residents or vendors. This position ensures that the physical aspects of the community, both interior and exterior, meet the Company's established standards and any applicable laws. In addition, the Service Manager participates in guiding and leading Service Technicians in diagnosing and repairing maintenance problems for the community. Education/ Experience • High School diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician Skills Specialized Knowledge • Ability to read, write and understand English. • Ability to use standard maintenance equipment. • Ability to use a personal computer or other computer tracking systems used at the property. • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. • Comprehension of federal fair housing laws and any applicable local housing provisions. • Ability to multi-task • Ability to maintain confidentiality. • EPA Certification, Type I and II or Universal • HVAC Certification, preferred • CPO certification (pool). • Other licenses and/or certifications as required by state law
