Sequoia Equities has an immediate opening for a Community Manager at our beautiful 104 unit apartment community in Santa Rosa, CA.
Located 55 miles north of San Francisco and 30 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Rosa is the county seat of Sonoma County. Spring Lake Apartment Homes is located in one of Santa Rosa's most desirable neighborhoods, straddling the borders of Rincon Valley and Bennett Valley, which have the highest property values and lowest crime rates in the city.

In this position, you will enjoy in person and phone interactions with residents and prospective residents. These interactions range from helping residents with their apartment homes to closing the sale and renting and matching the prospective resident to the perfect apartment and overseeing all operations of the community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing the operations of the community to ensure performance at or above annual budget
Developing strategies and executing action plans to maximize profitability and minimize loss in operations
Driving the growth and development of the team through effective coaching and counseling techniques
Budget preparation
Recruitment and retention of quality employees
Adherence to the letter and spirit of Fair Housing laws
QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a great first step into management; prior leadership experience not required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel, Outlook
Experience with Industry Software such as Onesite, Yardi, or Rent Roll preferred
Ability to travel as needed
Must be able to work Monday-Friday
Must enjoy working in a small team; Team consists of Community Manager and Service Manager
Must enjoy working independently in the office
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Some College preferred
Minimum of 3 years of solid property management experience
