Regional Manager
Calabasas, CA
We are a property management/asset management company looking for a Regional Manager who is flexible and is willing to travel. Regional Manager sssumes responsibility for all operations of two or more apartment communities in different local regions and/or states. For each respective property, manages to the owner's objectives and operating budget, with the primary objectives of increasing the net operating income, maintaining the physical asset and providing a quality living environment for residents by performing the duties personally (when needed) or through subordinate staff at each property. Performs overall duties in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have five or more years direct related experience including experience in managing apartment community.
Experience in direct supervision of staff of 5 or more.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Proficient with Word, Excel, and management software like Yardi.
Preparing budgets and knowledge of financial statements, with ability to work within budgeted guidelines.
Working knowledge of eviction law (previous court appearance experience preferred), Fair Housing mandates and other legal issues affecting community's management.
Demonstrated knowledge of legal issues which affect community operations, specifically all steps required in eviction process, bankruptcy, abandonment, storage and Fair Housing.
Knowledge of any local ordinances which affect community operations, including rent control documents and security deposit issues. If applicable, knowledge of Bond and Section 8, local rent control ordinances and local ordinances affecting deposits/interest.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Regional Manager should be able to empower and supervise a team of staff by leading them in the right direction for the benefit of the community, clients, residents, management and for themselves.

Education
College Degree and Real Estate License a must.
