Our Assistant Property Managers work with the Property Manager to assist with daily operation activities that include focusing on rental collections, managing and mitigating resident delinquencies, developing resident retention initiatives, and marketing and leasing efforts. This position will provide mentoring to new sales and service associates and assist with training. Manage staff and provides resolution for both staff and resident issues. Additionally, this individual works with the Manager on special projects for property occupancy, decreasing vacancies, increasing revenues and reporting.
Ideal individual will possess knowledge, experience, and strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:
-Overseeing property and office administration including reporting, managing lease files, audits and renewals.
-Exceptional importance and prioritization placed on managing delinquency through efficient rental collections, posting rents, daily deposits and filing legal proceedings in accordance with county codes.
-Contribute to achievement of leasing benchmarks as well as resident retention through monthly goals for the property through individual efforts, mentoring team and through outreach initiatives that demonstrate marketing the property, an understanding of the current sub-market; and maintaining a high performing, customer focused team through mentoring and professional development while leading by example.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 1-3 years Property Management supervisory experience required; Tax Credit strongly preferred.
-Knowledge of budgets and financial statements and ability to work within budgeted guidelines.
-Strong written/oral communication skills.
-Working knowledge of Landlord/Tenet laws and Fair Housing mandates.
-Good working computer knowledge, including working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel. Yardi and/or Onesite preferred.
-Ability to meet physical requirements of the job and function effectively in sales/marketing and customer service environment.
-High School diploma. Some college preferred.
