Facilities Technician

Full-Time Position: Under general direction, the Facilities Technician performs work of average to considerable difficulty in the journey-level performance of building maintenance.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, plumbing and painting. Other duties may include:
Identifying and correcting building and equipment problems,
Preventing the degradation of SRO Housing properties and systems
Paints, plasters and performs other building maintenance functions including minor plumbing and minor carpentry in order to maintain the safety and security of SRO facilities
Maintains the orderliness of the facility services center and areas where work is to be performed (i.e., free of trash, tools secure, excess equipment & supplies in correct location, etc.).
Regular inspections of the properties (fire safety, electrical, plumbing, power sources, etc)
Repairing, replacing or installing plumbing systems and components;
May be required to respond to 24-hour emergency calls for assigned work area during off-duty hours.
Requirements:
Five years of paint and drywall
2+years experience in building operations and maintenance (e.g. electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, etc.)
Valid CA driver license, preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Criminal, employment and education background check
Must pass physical and drug screen
Salary is $10.00 - $14.00 per hour plus other great benefits
